Ingredients
250 gm. curd cloves
250 gm. whole maash (urad dal) dried coconut
1 tsp. turmeric cinnamon
2 tsp. salt and dried ginger
1 tsp. each ginger 50 gm. raisins (optional)
coriander 375 gm. sarson oil
cumin

Method

  1. Clean and soak whole maash in water. Cook the maash in the same water.
  2. When half cooked, drain the water off completely.
  3. In an open-mouthed pan put oil and all spices and fry a little.
  4. Then add curd, salt and turmeric and deep fry. When browned seal the lid tight and let the maash simmer and cook in the juice. No water is to be added.
